2.0 out of 5 stars Great food processor, poor quality buttons, August 21, 2011

I have had Cuisinart food processors for 30 years, and has loved them! Bought this one 2 years ago to replace by 25+ year old model which was smaller and had cracked bowls. The unit works great, except for the buttons. After a year of regular use, the film on the buttons cracked, and it wasn't long before they just peeled off. Now, even the slightest moisture gets in and shorts out the buttons. Unit now has to be unplugged to stop it. I'm going back to the old level-type of controls! If you notice, the cooking stores are not carrying models with these buttons anymore either.

I liked mine so much that I bought one more as a gift. They are especially suited for those who already have a smaller one but at times need the bigger size. It is regrettable, however, that all the products we need and want seemed to be made in China. Wont you, please try to make that known in the advertizement for those to whom it matters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Food processor's are great!, December 23, 2011

I finally replaced my inadequate food processor after two years of trying to cook without one. Researching food processors for about a year then waiting for a good deal to purchase one. Thanks Amazon. The reviews I read will be helpful for usage and maintenance. It is so much easier to prepare certain foods with my PowerPrep Plus than with my blender. Now I can make soups, sauces and spreads with little effort. It is easy to assemble, clean and most of all it is quiet!
