Operating the processor is a thrill--like driving a luxury car. It weighs 10-1/2 pounds and measures 14-1/2 inches high, 8-3/4 inches wide, and 10-1/2 inches deep. There are no seams to trap food, making cleanup a simple matter of wiping the base and placing all parts in the dishwasher.
Included with this model is a citrus press for quickly extracting juice; a whip for egg whites and cream; a dough blade; a thin (2 millimeters), reversible disc for slicing and shredding; and medium (4 millimeters) shredding and slicing discs. All store in a transparent plastic case (10-1/2 by 7-1/2 by 7 inches). The instruction booklet is exceptionally easy to follow and includes dozens of recipes. It is well constructed and works well, however whether one of these is right for you or not will depend largely on what you want to do with it.I bought it because: 1) I have been making bread by hand for several years and am finding it a bit tedious, but am not too keen on bread machines as they can only do one loaf at a time; 2) I periodically make grapefruit marmalade, and cutting up the grapefruit peels is very tedious work that can make your fingers sting (or you can cut yourself); 3) I hate slicing onions as it moves me to tears; 4) a lot of recipes suggest the use of a food processor to slice things quickly. After some research, this one looked like the one to get. But don't be deceived by the 'Pro' tag on the name, because this thing is way too small to have much professional use. The juicer works great and can take a grapefruit down in a couple of seconds. It has an egg whipper which is great for whipping egg whites into a fluffy consistancy. It includes a container for storing the blades. My wife absolutely loves this piece of kitchen equipment and she has it sitting proudly next to her Kitchen Aid blender and Kitchen Aid coffee maker. I can't recommend this product highly enough you won't be sorry you spent the little extra money for it. |
